As part of its recent alliance with Cognex Corporation, Ultimate Solutions participated in the 2nd Vision Systems Symposium in Heredia, Costa Rica, on September 7, 2022.
This alliance between both companies materialized this year when Ultimate Solutions became a Cognex Certified System Integrator. With this, Ultimate Solutions seeks to solidify its knowledge and customer service in the development of Machine Vision solutions that will use Artificial Intelligence and integration of Cognex cameras with another of our serialization partner platforms.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to see presentations on products and services for medical equipment manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, electronics, food and beverage and packaging industries.
Professionals in Vision Systems also discussed lighting techniques, lenses, case studies, inspection algorithms, 1D/2D code verification, character readings (OCR/OCV) and live demonstrations of complete solutions.
Carlos Castro, Global Account Manager in the Technology area of Ultimate Solutions, offered a presentation to explain what Serialization and Unique Device Identification System (UDI) are, their benefits and guidelines for the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry. Similarly, he spoke about the requirements of regulatory agencies in the United States and Europe.
“This symposium is extremely important to us because the medical device sector in Costa Rica requires the implementation of the Unique Device Identification System; and Ultimate Solutions will be able to use their combined knowledge to provide a value proposition to customers in that area,” Castro said.
Likewise, Yoel Rivera, president of Ultimate Solutions, said that the Ultimate Solutions Academy will play an important role in this alliance.
“Our Academy and labs will be adapting to provide training for employees and customers to develop on the Cognex In-Sight Explorer, Vision Pro, In-Sight ViDi and DataMan platforms,” said Rivera.
Enrique García, Sales Engineer of Cognex Corporation for the Caribbean and Central America, indicated that this symposium seeks to help customers learn more about Vision Systems, including the area of Serialization and UDI.
“Here, Cognex is also presenting Artificial Intelligence technology which is where the Industry is moving. We are very pleased with this partnership with Ultimate Solutions because we understand that it will help our customers with vision applications in the area of serialization and UDI. This relationship is very important because Ultimate Solutions has the knowledge in those areas that help us move in that direction of being able to provide customers with more products,” said Garcia.
