Ultimate Solutions and AutoPak expand their presence in western Puerto Rico with new Aguadilla facility

Ultimate Solutions and AutoPak officially opened their new facility in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, on Thursday, August 27, with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by clients, partners, academic representatives, government officials, and employees.

The new facility joins the companies’ headquarters in Caguas and their operations in the United States and Spain, as part of their continued growth and expansion strategy. Its location in Aguadilla is intended to bring their capabilities closer to Life Sciences customers in western Puerto Rico while positioning the companies to support new opportunities emerging across the region.

In recent years, western Puerto Rico has become a strategic hub for innovation, technology, and advanced manufacturing. Through this new facility, Ultimate Solutions and AutoPak aim to contribute to that ecosystem by providing an integrated portfolio of services that includes engineering, serialization, automation, AI-powered inspection, manufacturing, robotics, training, logistics, and specialized services for regulated industries.

The facility includes dedicated spaces for meetings, equipment integration, quality control reviews—including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)—logistics and equipment handling, storage, and project preparation.

The expansion also includes additional space for the Ultimate Solutions Academy, strengthening the company’s ability to develop the technical talent required by the Life Sciences industry.

“For us, opening this facility in Aguadilla is much more than opening a new office. It represents another step in a story that began 21 years ago and, when I look back, there is one element that continues to appear again and again: education,” said Yoel Rivera, CEO of Ultimate Solutions and AutoPak.

During his remarks, Rivera reflected on the company’s early beginnings and the impact that educational and entrepreneurial development programs had on his preparation as an entrepreneur.

“The money we invest in developing our people is not an expense. It is an investment. Through the investment Ultimate Solutions has made in education since our beginnings, our engineers developed knowledge and experience that differentiated us. Over time, that knowledge opened doors for us globally”, Rivera said.

The CEO also emphasized that education and talent development have been an integral part of the company’s growth.

“Every time Ultimate Solutions develops a new facility, we need three things: space to work, space to integrate, and space to learn. That is why our Academy exists, and that is why the Academy is also here in Aguadilla”, he said.

Beyond expanding the company’s physical infrastructure, the new facility represents an opportunity to continue developing technical talent, collaborate with universities, build closer relationships with customers in western Puerto Rico, train new professionals, and create a space where industry, academia, and the community can connect.

The opening ceremony brought together Life Sciences customers, partners, academic representatives, and employees from Ultimate Solutions and AutoPak. Also in attendance were Aguadilla Mayor Julio Roldán and Zamia Baerga, Secretary of the Caguas Department of Economic Development.

Representatives from the Puerto Rico Minority Supplier Development Council (PRMSDC) and programs within Puerto Rico’s Department of Economic Development and Commerce also participated in the event.

With the opening of this new facility, Ultimate Solutions and AutoPak continue to expand their ability to support customers through a 360° strategy while developing talent and contributing to the growth of Puerto Rico’s Life Sciences industry and its broader innovation and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
