JUNE 2022 (Manatí, Puerto Rico)- As part of the Sustainability strategy, Ultimate Solutions carried out its first family reforestation activity on June 25, 2022.
The planting of some 1,000 native trees was in the Hacienda La Esperanza Nature Reserve in Manatí, Puerto Rico. The initiative was worked in collaboration with the organization Para La Naturaleza, which brings together people who seek a sustainable future for Puerto Rico.
In about three hours of volunteering, the Ultimate Solutions group, made up of employees, family members and friends, collaborated with the planting and had this direct contact with nature in a ground of high ecological value.
“Ultimate Solutions wants to commit to the conservation of our natural resources, work for a better future and raise awareness in our children,” said Yoel Rivera, CEO of Ultimate Solutions.
Para La Naturaleza is a non-profit organization that integrates society in the conservation of its natural ecosystems. Para La Naturaleza manages all the natural areas of the FCPR including Hacienda Buena Vista in Ponce, Hacienda La Esperanza in Manatí and Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve in Fajardo, among others. Its goal is to integrate society in the protection and management of natural areas in order to increase the percentage of protected land for conservation in Puerto Rico, from the current figure of 16 percent, to 33 percent for the year 2033.
